Six ways we catch cheaters
Each one catches what the others can miss.
The Firewall
Suspicious accounts are blocked before they ever join: game bans, recent VAC bans, brand-new or bought accounts, VPNs and more.
See the 8 requirementsMultiple systems
Several detection systems, including our own in-house anti-cheat, watch for aimbot, autoclickers, ESP, no recoil, spinhacks and physics cheats while you play.
Staff in game
Staff are online in game to watch. They never play on our servers and never spawn items.
Read the staff ethics policyAfter the fact
Detailed logging and trend analysis let us go back and catch cheaters later. Cheating bans have no time limit.
Cheat surveillance
We have eyes in hundreds of cheating communities. We see the cheats being sold, and the players who join and buy from them. Association alone is a permanent ban.
Player reports
Your F7 reports and Discord tickets feed straight into our investigations. Players who report what they see help us remove rule breakers faster.
How to report a playerBuilt to catch teamers
Our anti-teaming system is custom built from the ground up to enforce our Solo Only rules. It works in four ways, and it's built to be fair to players who are genuinely solo.
No shared spawns
Sleeping bags and beds can't be assigned to other players, so a shared respawn network can't be set up in the first place.
25+ signals
Our own anti-teaming plugin watches for players fighting together, sharing bases, raiding together, riding together, reviving each other and trading.
Patterns over time
Every signal is recorded against the players involved. A pattern across days stands out, even when one moment on its own doesn't.
Every fight analysed
When a fight breaks out, the area becomes a hot zone. We record who was there, who fought whom, who held back and who left.
Fair to solo players
Every teaming ban is a staff member's judgement on all the evidence together. Nothing bans you automatically.
Sharing an internet connection, logging on at the same time or being Steam friends is never enough on its own.
In a hot zone, fighting or getting out is exactly what the rules ask. A brief tactical pause is allowed too.
What it takes to ban someone
Every ban placed by staff has to meet all three. Bans can be temporary or permanent, depending on how serious the violation is.
- 1
A written rule was broken
No bans for unwritten rules. The rule must be written in black and white in our ruleset before the ban is placed.
- 2
Staff have real evidence
We do not ban players on suspicion or accusations. Staff must either witness the violation firsthand or collect enough evidence to prove it.
- 3
It happened recently
No bans for things done months or years ago, except cheating.
Ban evasion: using another account to get around a ban means a permanent ban, with no appeal, for every account tied to you and your household network.
How to report a player
Your reports matter. Our tools never tell the whole story on their own.
- 1Press F7 in game
The report automatically records about two minutes of the player and sends it straight to staff. It's the most useful thing you can do.
- 2Open a ticket in Discord
In #open-a-ticket, tell us what happened, when and where, who was involved, and add clips or screenshots if you have them.
- 3Keep it out of global chat
Don't call players out in chat. It warns them, and the first time earns a temporary mute.
Think your ban was a mistake?
