Lone Wolf Rust Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 27, 2026
Company: Lone Wolf Rust LLC (“Lone Wolf Rust,” “we,” “us,” “our”)
Privacy Contact: [email protected]

This Privacy Policy explains how Lone Wolf Rust collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use our Rust game servers, websites and subdomains, verification services, and our Discord communities (collectively, the “Services”).

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.

1) Scope (what this covers)

This policy applies to:

  • lonewolfrust.gg and all subdomains (including verification flows)
  • Lone Wolf Rust game servers and related enforcement/administration systems
  • Lone Wolf Rust Discord servers (including staff-only Discord servers used for moderation evidence and operations)
  • Integrations and tools used to operate, secure, and moderate the Services

This policy does not replace the privacy policies of third parties you use to access our Services (e.g., Steam, Discord, BattleMetrics, Google, Cloudflare, PayNow, and other providers). Those providers process your data under their own terms and policies.

2) Information we collect

We collect information in several categories depending on how you use the Services.

A) Account verification data (link.lonewolfrust.gg or similar subdomains)

When you complete verification using Steam authentication and Discord authentication, you authenticate directly with Steam and Discord. We store the following per verified user as unique records:

  • Discord Display Name
  • Discord ID
  • Steam Display Name
  • SteamID
  • IP address (at the time of verification)

B) Game server and gameplay-administration data

We collect and/or generate operational and moderation data, including:

  • Connection/technical logs: IP address, connection timestamps, and technical/client information made available by Rust/Steam and the server environment
  • In-game text communications: global/local/team chat logs including player identifiers (e.g., names and SteamIDs) and timestamps
  • Moderation and enforcement telemetry: records, alerts, and logs associated with server security, administration, and enforcement actions

No HWID access: We do not have access to hardware identifiers (“HWID”).

C) Voice moderation data (ToxVoice)

We use a third-party provider named ToxVoice to:

  • Capture voice audio
  • Produce text transcripts
  • Produce an MP3 file for transcript verification

This voice moderation output is delivered to a private staff-only Discord server and is not stored on our game server.

D) F7 report / demo data

When Rust’s F7 reporting produces demos/recordings, we store those in a private staff-only Discord server. These demos are typically rendered unusable by monthly Rust updates and/or map wipes.

E) Discord server content and moderation records

Within our Discord servers, we may collect/store:

  • Messages and message metadata (e.g., timestamps, channel context) when logged for enforcement and safety
  • Ticket transcripts and related moderation records (stored indefinitely)

No access to private DMs: We do not have access to your Discord DMs. We also do not have access to private messages sent on Steam.

F) Website, cookie, and analytics/advertising data

Our websites use:

  • Cloudflare (free tier) and Turnstile (bot/abuse prevention)
  • Google Analytics (usage analytics)
  • Google Ads / Google AdSense (advertising/monetization)
  • BattleMetrics widgets (embedded content)

These services may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information such as IP address, device/browser characteristics, and browsing activity on our sites, subject to their own policies.

G) Purchases (PayNow)

Purchases (e.g., subscriptions or store items) are processed by PayNow. We do not store payment card details. We may store or receive:

  • Purchase status
  • Transaction IDs
  • SteamIDs (for fulfillment)

These records may be posted to a private staff-only Discord server for operations.

3) How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate the Services (hosting, verification, account linking, fulfillment)
  • Secure the Services (abuse prevention, fraud prevention, network protection)
  • Moderate and enforce rules (cheating, toxicity/hate speech, kick/mute/ban workflows, investigations)
  • Maintain integrity of the solo-only ecosystem (anti-teaming and fairness enforcement where applicable)
  • Provide support and respond to inquiries
  • Measure and improve site performance and user experience (analytics)
  • Monetize and measure advertising performance (ads/AdSense)
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

4) Automated decisions and moderation

Some enforcement actions may be automated, including:

  • Automatic filtering/muting for certain hate speech/slurs
  • Automatic kicks based on security/firewall criteria defined in our official rules and operational standards

We may also use human review and additional evidence sources for investigations and enforcement.

Appeals:

  • We have no obligation to provide evidence during ban appeals.
  • Appeals are allowed once, and we reserve the right to reject any appeal.

5) Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

Because you indicated you want EU/UK coverage, the following lawful bases may apply under GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Contract / performance of a contract: operating the Services you request (e.g., verification, access, fulfillment)
  • Legitimate interests: securing the Services, enforcing rules, preventing abuse/cheating/toxicity, maintaining logs for forensics, and improving operations (balanced against your rights)
  • Consent: where required for non-essential cookies/advertising/analytics (see Cookies section)
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws and lawful requests

6) Cookies and tracking (Option B: consent banner with toggles)

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential: security, load balancing, bot prevention (e.g., Cloudflare/Turnstile)
  • Analytics: understanding site usage (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Advertising: ad delivery, measurement, and personalization (e.g., Google Ads/AdSense)

Your choices

  • We intend to provide a cookie consent banner with opt-in/out toggles (especially for EEA/UK users where required).
  • You can also control cookies via browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect functionality.

7) How we share information

We do not sell player data.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help run the Services (hosting, security, analytics, advertising, moderation tooling, ticketing, verification, etc.), including Cloudflare, Google, Discord, Steam, ToxVoice, BattleMetrics, RustAdmin, Galium, RankEval, and PayNow (as applicable)
  • RAID network participation via BattleMetrics internal organization data sharing
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Services, our users, and the public
  • Business operations: professional advisors (e.g., legal/accounting) as needed under confidentiality obligations

8) International transfers

Lone Wolf Rust is operated from the United States, and many of our providers operate globally. Your information may be processed and stored outside your country/state/province, including in jurisdictions that may have different privacy protections.

Where required (e.g., EEA/UK transfers), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections and/or other mechanisms recognized by applicable law.

9) Data retention

Your retention preferences are forensics-first:

  • Enforcement/administration/general logging information: typically retained indefinitely for safety, integrity, auditability, and repeat-offender analysis
  • Discord ticket transcripts: stored indefinitely
  • Financial records: retained as required by law/standard accounting practices
  • Payment data: handled by PayNow (we do not store full payment credentials)

We may also retain data longer where necessary to:

  • resolve disputes,
  • enforce agreements/policies,
  • comply with legal obligations,
  • preserve evidence for investigations.

10) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Staff-only moderation evidence (including transcripts, audio, demos, and ticket archives) is restricted to authorized personnel and systems, but is still subject to the security posture of the platforms involved (e.g., Discord and other providers).

11) Your rights and requests

A) Access / deletion requests for data we control

You may request access to or deletion of certain personal data that we store and control on:

  • our websites/subdomains (including verification records),
  • our game server systems/logs we directly control,
  • our owned Discord servers (including ticket transcripts and staff logs).

To submit a request, email: [email protected]

Important: We may deny or limit requests where:

  • retention is required for enforcement integrity, security, fraud/abuse prevention, or legal compliance;
  • the data is necessary to preserve evidence related to rules enforcement.

B) Third-party records

If your request concerns data held by third-party providers (e.g., Steam, Discord, Google, BattleMetrics, PayNow), you will need to contact those providers directly. We cannot compel third parties to delete or provide data they control.

C) EEA/UK rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights including:

  • access, rectification, erasure,
  • restriction and objection,
  • data portability (where applicable),
  • and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

12) Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (and may not be appropriate for minors under applicable local law). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact [email protected].

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate (e.g., via announcements).
