The Lone Wolf Rust Firewall
Our first line of defence against cheaters and throwaway accounts. Every account is checked automatically when it joins, and an account that doesn't meet all eight requirements below is turned away.
Requirements
The 8 requirements
A clean record
- No game bans on your Steam accountA game ban means a game's developer caught the account cheating.
- At most one VAC ban, three or more years oldVAC is Valve's anti-cheat. One old ban is allowed; recent or repeated bans are not.
An established account
- Steam account at least 30 days oldBrand-new accounts are commonly used by banned players to evade their bans.
- Steam profile set upA set-up profile is a basic sign of a real, lived-in account.
- An account you created yourselfAccounts bought from bot farms, resellers or stolen-account markets are not allowed.
Real Rust experience
- At least 24 hours of Rust in the last five yearsCounted on BattleMetrics-connected servers. It shows the account really plays Rust.
A direct connection
- The main Rust clientJoining from Rust – Staging Branch is not allowed.
- No VPNGeForce NOW and ShadowPlay are allowed.
Bans and the Firewall
Our staff can't make exceptions for Steam game bans or VAC bans.
Using another account to get around the Firewall, or around any ban, is ban evasion and is bannable in its own right.
